OINP employer requirements checker
Every Ontario Workforce Priority Stream job offer comes from an employer that must meet published requirements. Answer a few questions about the business and the job to see which of them it meets. This is a free, unofficial check of the published rules, not an approval: Ontario assesses every application.

Other rules this checker does not test
- The job must be urgently necessary to the business and must not affect a labour dispute.
- Ontario may require proof that the employer tried to hire a Canadian citizen or permanent resident first. The employer guide says this applies unless the worker is already authorized to work in Ontario or the job has a positive LMIA.
- A NOC 33102 position (nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates) must be mainly in a hospital, nursing home or other health care establishment; home-based care roles fall under NOC 44101.
- Truck and transit driver positions (NOC 73300 and 73301) may be mostly outside Ontario but need a valid CVOR certificate rated Excellent or Satisfactory.
- A collective agreement sets the wage level where one applies.
How the job offer is submitted
- A signing officer registers the business in the OINP Employer Portal.
- The employer submits the job offer, and the worker receives a job offer ID.
- The worker registers an Expression of Interest within 30 calendar days of that submission. Estimate the worker’s score.
- If the worker is invited, the employer has 14 days to submit its part, then the worker submits the application. The OINP charges the employer no fee.
