OINP draws and cutoff scores
When Ontario holds an Expression of Interest draw for the Workforce Priority Stream, this page records it: the date, which pathway it covered, the cutoff score, and how many invitations went out. Every OWP Stream draw so far
No draws have happened yet. Ontario opened EOI registration on August 4, 2026 without announcing a draw date or schedule, and states that it gives no advance notice before issuing invitations. When a draw is announced on the official stream page, its results will appear here.
OINP draws in 2026 before the new stream
Before the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream replaced them, Ontario held 24 draws under the old streams between 2026-02-02 and 2026-04-30, issuing 13,642 invitations. Almost every one targeted a region, an occupation group, Francophone candidates, physicians or a pilot community. These cutoffs used the old streams’ points systems, so they are not comparable with Workforce Priority Stream scores.

How OWP Stream draws work
Registering an Expression of Interest places your profile in a selection pool, scored out of 132 points (117 for self-employed physicians). A draw ranks profiles in the pool by score and invites the top of the ranking to apply. An EOI stays in the pool for 12 months unless it is withdrawn, expires, or leads to an invitation.
The regulation allows two kinds of rounds. A general draw ranks every registered candidate; a targeted draw ranks only candidates with specific labour-market or human-capital attributes, such as an occupation group or a region. The program director decides which kind to run and when: no fixed schedule, frequency, or minimum score is set by law.
If you are invited, two clocks start. Your employer must submit the position for approval within 14 calendar days, and you must submit your application and pay the fee within 17 calendar days; a missed deadline cannot be reinstated. Ontario’s federal allocation for 2026 is 14,119 nominations across the whole OINP.
What a cutoff score means
A cutoff is the lowest score that received an invitation in a given draw. It is a result, not a requirement: Ontario publishes no minimum score, and one draw’s cutoff does not bind the next. Where a cutoff lands depends on how many candidates are in the pool, how they score, and how many invitations Ontario issues.
A targeted draw’s cutoff describes only the group it targeted, so two draws can produce very different cutoffs at the same time. The first draws of a new stream also have no history behind them, so any single cutoff is a data point about that draw, not a bar you must clear.

When is the next OINP draw?
Ontario has not published a draw schedule for the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream and gives no advance notice before a draw. EOI registration opened on August 4, 2026, and every draw Ontario announces is added to this page. Under the old streams, Ontario held draws weekly from mid-March to the end of April 2026, after gaps of up to four weeks earlier in the year.
What was the latest OINP draw and its cutoff?
The first table on this page lists every Ontario Workforce Priority Stream draw, newest first, with its cutoff score and invitations. The last draw under the closed streams was on April 30, 2026, for job offers in the Greater Toronto Area: the cutoffs were 57 for Foreign Worker and 81 for International Student, with 1,063 invitations.
What score do I need for an OINP draw invitation?
No Workforce Priority Stream cutoff exists until Ontario holds its first draw, and cutoffs from the closed streams do not carry over because they used different points systems. You can estimate your score now and compare it with the anonymous community scores on this page.
Will OWP Stream draws target regions or occupations?
Ontario has not said. The regulation allows both general draws and targeted draws by attributes such as region or occupation. Under the closed streams, almost every 2026 draw was targeted, as the table of 2026 draws on this page shows.
What happens if I am invited in a draw?
You are notified in the OINP e-Filing Portal. Your employer must submit its application within 14 calendar days, and you must submit yours and pay the fee within 17 calendar days of the invitation. If either deadline is missed, the EOI is removed from the pool.
