Covers the new Ontario Workforce Priority Stream, which replaced all previous OINP streams on June 26, 2026.

Looking for a closed OINP stream? Here's what replaced it

All eight of Ontario's previous OINP streams closed permanently on June 25–26, 2026, and were replaced by the single Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (OWP Stream). Any calculator, checklist, or cut-off score you find for the old streams no longer applies: applicants now go through one of the OWP Stream's three pathways instead. The list below matches each closed stream to where its applicants fit under the new stream.

Which stream replaced each closed OINP stream?

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker

Foreign workers with a qualifying job offer now apply through one of the two OWP Stream job-offer pathways, based on their occupation’s TEER level.

Employer Job Offer: International Student

International students with a job offer now apply through the same TEER-based job-offer pathway as other foreign workers, with no separate student stream.

Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills

In-demand occupations that were TEER 4 or 5 now fall under the OWP Stream’s essential-worker job-offer pathway rather than a dedicated in-demand-skills stream.

Masters Graduate

Masters graduates now need a job offer to apply, and score points for their credential plus any Canadian post-secondary credential and Ontario education under the job-offer pathways.

PhD Graduate

PhD graduates now need a job offer to apply, and score points for their credential plus any Canadian post-secondary credential and Ontario education under the job-offer pathways.

Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities

Candidates who relied on this stream’s no-job-offer route now need a qualifying Ontario job offer to apply under the OWP Stream’s TEER 0–3 pathway.

Express Entry: Skilled Trades

Skilled trades candidates now need a qualifying job offer and apply through the OWP Stream, where their occupation’s TEER level sets which job-offer pathway applies.

Express Entry: French-Speaking Skilled Worker

French-speaking candidates now apply through the same job-offer pathways as any other applicant, with French ability still counted under the OWP Stream’s language factor.
